After a busy two months, things slow down a bit for our #SessionsFamily, with just two series on the horizon. Those two series, however, are the highly anticipated season 2 of HBO's Perry Mason reboot and the followup project from Veep's David Mandel. Let's march right into the month.

How to watch: HBO + HBOMax; trailer
Why to watch: Casting The Americans Emmy-Award winner Matthew Rhys as a downtrodden but righteous Perry Mason was a stroke of HBO's typical genius. Rhys exudes the innate goodness that makes Perry the crusader that he is, despite his dour attitude. Returning for season 2 are Perry's colleagues Juliet Rylance (so good in The Knick) and Chris Chalk, alongside new-to-the-series Katherine Waterston. Perhaps even more exciting is that The Knick showrunners Jack Amiel and Michael Begler have taken over to steer the show. Reviews are already positive, with Rolling Stone's venerable Alan Sepinwall writing that season 2 is "solidly crafted and entertaining on the whole."

Why to watch: This limited series depicting the real life bumbling of Nixon's "masterminds" G. Gordon Liddy and E. Howard Hunt has a cast worth losing elections over. With Justin Theroux and Woody Harrelson as the aforementioned White House "plumbers," the cast includes Game of Thrones' Lena Headey, the hilarious Judy Greer (Arrested Development, Reboot), Mad Men and Sabrina the Teenage Witch's Kiernan Shipka, Dohmnall Gleeson, White Lotus's F. Murray Abraham, and Kathleen Turner. The cherry on top? Executive producer and director David Mandel of Veep, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld fame. Expect razor sharp dialogue and truth being far funnier than fiction.
